IN ORDER TO RECIEVE YOUR HUNTER'S EDUCATION EDUCATION CERTIFICATE YOU MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING IN NUMERICAL ORDER:

Step 3: In order to Register & attend the physical field day at Ready Gunner. you must compete steps 1 + 2 above. Please register for a date here:

7. Monday - 6/10/2024 - 3-6PM

DESCRIPTION: 

Ready Gunner hosts the Utah Hunters Education Field Day, which includes the in-person written and shooting tests required to obtain a hunting license in Utah. Before participating in the Utah Hunters Education Field Day, you must first complete the online safety course 

The Utah Hunter Education program helps you learn essential safety skills and develop practical techniques useful for hunting. Completion of a basic hunter education course is required to obtain a hunting license in Utah if you were born after Dec. 31, 1965. All courses offered by the Utah Hunter Education program are nationally recognized.

To sign up for the Utah Hunters Education Field Day, click the registration button above. This will send you to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources website. Click on a class offered at Ready Gunner to register and pay the fee to the DWR. Upon arrival to the Field Day, you will pay an additional $15 fee to use the Ready Gunner range. Each student will need to sign a waiver in order to participate on the Range for the shooting portion of the class. If you are under the age of 18, a parent must sign the waiver for any of their children participating. You can sign the waiver in store or here: READY GUNNER WAIVER

PRICE: $15, to be paid upon arrival

SETTING: Classroom and range

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 25

Notes: This course is for the field day only. You must complete the online course and register on the DWR for a Ready Gunner Field Day before attending. IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THESE BEFORE THE COURSE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND. This course will include the live-fire shooting exercise, field scenario, and written test. You must bring your online course completion certificate to attend. Students must pay the $15 range fee for this course at Ready Gunner on the day of their course.

REQUIRED GEAR:

  • Proof of online course completion.
  • Hunter Education Registration Certificate. This can be purchased during time of class if needed for $10.
  • Rifle to complete shooting exercise portion of course. Rentals are available for $15.
  • 30 rounds of ammunition.
  • Eye and ear protection.
  • $15 for the Ready Gunner range fee.
  • Children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.
