SUMMARY:
The primary goal of this training is to provide participants with the foundational skills,
techniques, and knowledge required to compete effectively in USPSA and IDPA matches.
Additionally, the advanced training aims to enhance the skills of seasoned shooters, focusing on fine-tuning their techniques, increasing accuracy, and optimizing their performance under competitive conditions
- Introduction to USPSA and IDPA: rules, scoring, Division, and match procedures.
- Safety rules and equipment requirements for competitive shooting.
- Rescores for USPSA and IDPA: memberships, locations, and more.
- Basic shooting fundamentals: stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control.
- Target engagement techniques and drills.
- Movement and positioning strategies for effective stage execution.
- Introduction to stage planning and mental preparation.
- Outcome: Participants will leave with a foundational understanding of USPSA and
IDPA, essential shooting skills, confidence, and safety to participate in local matches.
If you don’t have a firearm and are looking to take this course, you can rent one at the range counter. Ready Gunner rounds must be used in all rental firearms.
TIME COMMITMENT: 6 Hours Total (often times split up into 2 days)
PRICE: $100
SETTING: Classroom & Range at Ready Gunner.
This class spans over 2 days/evening of 3 hours each.
The class will be shooting in front of the normal shooting bay stalls using the shooting trays moved close to the trap. This allows the instructor to monitor all shooters in one line. Eye and Ear protection need to be worn at all times inside the range.

PREREQUISITES: Must finish RG Handgun 1 - Fundamentals & Handgun 2
INSTRUCTOR: Frank Xu certified USPSA Chief Range Officer and IDPA Safety Officer.
Frank is a current USPSA and IDPA Master Class Shooter with Multiple State, Regional,
and National competition experiences and titles. He is also a Trainer for the Taiwan

REQUIRED GEAR:
- Handgun
- Holster (Kydex Preferred)
- Magazine carriers
- 2-3 magazines
- Minimum of 300 rounds of ammunition
- Ear and eye protection
- Any other personal gear necessary for competition.
WHAT'S NEXT:
After taking the course, participants will be prepared to take Ready Gunner Competition Handgun 1 where you will have some repetition of the above training along with learning movement techniques, multiple targets and begin incorporating the USPSA & IDPA scoring system.
