Handgun - Beginner

SUMMARY: 

This course should be taken by individuals who have NEVER shot, only shot a few times, or for those who feel like the most basic fundamental course is needed. 

In an effort to describe the course accurately, we will methodically and slowly move through the fundamentals of safety, handling and basic shooting:

• Gun Storage
• Safety Handling
• Transporting your firearm
• Eye Protection
• Ear Protection
• Loading your Magazine with Ammunition
• Loading your Magazine into your Gun
• Chambering a Round
• How to properly grip your firearm
• Eye Alignment 
  
• Using your Firearms Sights
• Acquiring your Target 
• Body Position / Stance
• Range etiquette

If you don’t have a firearm and are looking to take this course, you can rent one at the range counter. Ready Gunner rounds must be used in all rental firearms.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course covers the basic of the basics. If you are a first time handgun owner and unsure how to hold your gun, load your magazine, get on target and act in the range, this course is for you.  We will start in the classroom covering safety, range etiquette, how to stand while shooting and how to get on target. The rest of the class will be in the range, and you will shoot up to 75 rounds of ammunition. You will not leave an expert, but you will leave with the basic knowledge so you can come to the Ready Gunner Handgun 1 class and feel ready to keep up. So new to the industry you don't have your own firearm, that's OK, we will have 8 different guns that we will try as part of the class.

SETTING: Classroom & Range

This class spans over 2.5 hours, the first hour will be a comprehensive safety briefing, gun handling basics and proper use of the range, then into the range we go. 

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 12
