SUMMARY:

This class is BASED on the NRA - National Rifle Association pistol basics training and is designed to establish the fundamental techniques with your firearm.

This class will be performed by a certified NRA trainer

If you don’t have a firearm and are looking to take this course, you can rent one at the range counter. Ready Gunner rounds must be used in all rental firearms.

DESCRIPTION:

Our handgun 1 course was created to help you get familiar with your own firearm, feel comfortable using it, understanding the mechanics of the gun, being familiar with the way it feels in your own hand and how reacts when you fire it.

This course is follows the NRA - National Rifle Association basics course and is designed to ensure you have an adequate foundation and understanding of safety, handling, care, along with a new level of confidence in your ability handle and fire your gun.

This class will provide an environment where you can openly ask questions about anything regarding your firearm. Others attending will likely be novice and beginner shooters with limited experience, the material covered is designed to be non threatening and move at a pace that allows you to gain confidence and familiarity in your abilities.

TIME COMMITMENT: 2 - 3-hour sessions (total of 6 hours)

SETTING: Classroom and range

This class spans over 2 days/evenings of 3 hours each.

The class will be shooting in front of the normal shooting bay stalls using the shooting trays moved close to the trap. This allows the instructor to monitor all shooters in one line. Eye and Ear protection need to be worn at all times inside the range.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 12

PREREQUISITES:

There are NO prerequisites to this course.

Many of those attending will have taken our beginner handgun or our Concealed Carry Ready course.
