Please join us for a Active Shooter zoom we are holding for teachers and school administrators to share some of the upcoming state specific requirements that the state legislature has and will likely implement for school safety along with helpful training for the upcoming school year.

According to USnews.com, there were over 300 incidents and 57 casualties at schools involving shootings in the US in 2023.

If you have a child in school, please join as we have an informative panel that will help you talk to your child, your school administrator, and your child’s teachers about this topic.

The panel will discuss and train on:

Standard practices for administrators and teachers, protocols for securing the class room, movement, lockdown, run, hide, and fight tactics.

How to deal with students, parents, administrators, and law enforcement in these situations.

Creating an action plan ahead of time, and coordinating with the administrators.

Some of the new laws headed to Utah are requiring concealed carrying teachers in every school.

An untrained carrying person, can be as dangerous as an assailant, we will review concealed carry requirements, training, and practice protocols that teachers should know.

We will discuss legalities, and liabilities for teachers carrying in school, insurance you may consider buying should you choose to conceal carry as a teacher.

Todd Nielsen will lead the panel, training and discussion and will take live questions from the audience.

Todd and his team are heavily involved with Fightback Nation and have been actively training teachers, school employees and administrators over the last number of years and have extensive involvement with numerous school districts, private and charter schools. We will have a local teach and school administrator on our panel to contribute and field questions.  

Local teachers that want to get their concealed carry permit can sign up for a ready gunner class for free, by using the code TEACHER2024 at check out to waive the $25 fee.

For local teachers who attend the zoom, we will email you a 5 range punch pass to come in and shoot at the range for free to get some practice.  

For all others in our Ready Gunner community (parents and interested citizens) who register and attend the zoom, we will email out a free shooting range punch pass for you and a guest to come shoot for free.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

We have done this training for parents in the past, this event will be more specific to teachers and administrator and we believe having parents know what these folks are being told will be helpful for you to know what is happening at your own child’s school

There is nothing for sale on the zoom, it is entirely free, Ready gunner has done this 3 other time in an effort to support our teachers, communities, families and children

Training specifics will include:

• How to spot avenues of escape.
• Situational awareness.
• How to find positions of advantage.
• Concealment and cover.
• Suspicious behavior.
• Setting up a plan to get out of the bad situation
• Planning a meeting site for parents and children.
• Communication
• Carrying your own weapon
• Weapon training and practice 

In Utah from 2018 – 2023 there have been 10 shooting incidents. Please share this with others you think may benefit from joining.
